Dear Juanita:
I’m writing to tell you
that I’m taking my GED so I can get me a good paying job. I’m tired of low paying jobs. I am trying to support
my children. I want my children to look up to me. They can say that their mother went back to school. I believe it will make
them want to finish school more.
I’m taking up reading and math. Math seems to be my hardest subject, so I focus on that most of the time I really
get down about the subject it makes me want to quit. But I keep going anyway. I know times are going to get hard but things
in life are not going to be easy to come by.
After I finish getting my GED I’m thinking about going to college. My main goal is to buy a house. That will
be mine; I can call this my home. But in order to do all this I have to get my GED. Education is a big part in life. That’s
why I’m going this far because I want to achieve my goal. Talk to you later girl.
Sincerely
Sarah Haynes
